Firstly, let me brief you about TCS NQT (national qualifier test) 2021. Basically, TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT) is a multi-level assessment to assess the following competencies and skills. TCS NQT is an Ability Test that assesses your competencies and skills.
Secondly, each student who completes the TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT) gets an NQT Score. The NQT (Cognitive Skills) Score is applicable for all industries and job roles. Once you clear this exam you receive a mail with regards to your interview.
TCS conducts generally 4 rounds to select freshers as Software Developer in their organization.
- Aptitude test
- Technical interview
- HR Interview
- MR Interview
The recruitment drive starts with a written test followed by a one-on-one interview. They may also conduct a group discussion for some students. Sometimes they waive the written test for students above the aggregate of 75, and they were allowed to appear directly for the interview without a written test. Basic Flow of the process
Basically, TCS conducts NQT(National Qualifier Test) for campus recruitment. NQT comprises two positions (TCS Ninja and TCS Digital)
- TCS Ninja provides a package of 3.5 LPA.
- TCS Digital provides a package of 7 LPA.

Step3: If you don’t qualify for TCS Digital, but have a decent score then you will be called for the TCS Ninja Interview.

TCS NQT Interview Preparation for Technical Round
In the Technical Round, you can expect questions on your technical skills and programming languages. One can expect questions from the projects and topics mentioned in your resume. Since this is a Technical Interview Round, the emphasis is on technical skills that include those acquired and those that are a part of the specialization in graduation-specific technical fields or a branch of specialization.
You can explain the topic and support it with the help of examples. If you aren’t aware of the topic or question asked, we would recommend that you simply say no!
“Everyone has a different approach,” some students speak for one minute and some students go on for five. But usually people tend to start losing steam after 1.5 to 2.5 minutes of uninterrupted talking. You’ll have to decide what feels right for you in any given context, but if you’re speaking for longer than a couple of minutes, there’s a good chance you’re getting into too much detail too soon.

This is the most common question asked in all rounds. Talk a little bit about your current role, its scope, and perhaps a big recent accomplishment. If you’re a recent graduate: Start with the fact that you just graduated and explain why you chose this career path or field or study area. TCS NQT Questions for HR and MR Round
First and foremost, you should learn as much as you can about the company. A good place to start is the company’s website. If you have been referred through a friend also have a frank discussion with him or her. Also, geekstocode recommends doing a google search on the company to understand what others are saying about the company.
When attending the HR/MR Interview spell out your ideas as clearly as you can. Also try to substantiate your ideas with examples. Don’t be overly wordy and try to keep your answers to the point. Do not try to deviate too much from the question.
Present your viewpoint and be professional. If you do not agree with something the Interviewer has said do not spurn it as invalid. Learn to understand their point of view even if it clashed with your own. This does not mean that you need to accept their point of view. Most interviewers will give you a chance to ask questions. 1.What are your strength/weakness?
You may be asked about your strengths and weaknesses in one question or you may be asked about them in two separate questions. In the event that you are asked about strengths and weaknesses at the same time, discuss your weaknesses first so that you can end on a positive note.
When addressing your weaknesses, draw upon examples relating to either skills/habits or personality traits. You may want to choose which to focus on depending on the type of job you’re interviewing for. For example, discussing a skill/habit may be highly relevant for a technical position.
The formula for your answer is easy to follow. First, state your weakness. Second, add additional context and a specific example or story of how this trait has emerged in your professional life. That context will give potential employers insight into your level of self-awareness and commitment to professional growth.

Remember, as you prepare your response to the “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” question, it’s important to ensure your strengths support the job description and set you apart as a candidate. Not be overly humble and be specific in your responses.
2.Why Should We Hire You?
This interview question seems forward (not to mention intimidating!), but if you’re asked it, you’re in luck: There’s no better setup for you to sell yourself and your skills to the hiring manager. Your job here is to craft an answer that covers three things:
- That you can not only do the work but also deliver great results.
- You’ll really fit in with the team and culture.
- You’d be a better hire than any of the other candidates.
3.Tell Me About the Challenges you faced?
You’re probably not eager to talk about conflicts during a job interview. But if you’re asked directly, don’t pretend you’ve never had one. Be honest about a difficult situation you’ve faced (but without going into the kind of detail you’d share venting to a friend). Stay calm and professional as you tell the story (and answer any follow-up questions), spend more time talking about the resolution than the conflict. Also. mention what you’d do differently next time to show “you’re open to learning from tough experiences.”
